Child Support

Oklahoma Child Support Guidelines

There are official Oklahoma child support guidelines for determining the proper amount of child support to be paid for the benefit of the child. The amount shown in the guidelines is presumed to be correct unless it is shown to be unjust, unreasonable, inappropriate, or inequitable. When making a decision about child support, the Court will consider the annual gross income (AGI) of each party, as well as the property and assets of the parents. The Court can set the gross income based upon current paystubs, an average of income during the time of employment over the past 12 months, or an average of income for the past three years. The Court may also impute a party’s income based upon their income capacity.
